Brocade and Threaded in Medallion Cord

The techniques used in this band are historical techniques, but the actual motifs are modern bands. The laurel wreaths running the length of the band are the symbols of one who has achieved mastery in the arts or sciences. The brocaded pelican is a symbol of service used by those who do much to support the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) and have been recognized for their service.

The entire band is a bit under 1/2" wide with a narrowed spot in the middle for her medallion to rest.
