The Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) is an international non-profit volunteer educational organization. It is devoted to the research and re-creation of pre-17th century skills, arts, combat, culture, and employing knowledge of world history to enrich the lives of participants through events, demonstrations, and other educational presentations and activities.
I first found and began playing in the SCA in California, across much of the West Coast. I continued when we moved to Georgia, traveling from Mississippi to Virgina with various groups. Most recently, the move to Germany has let me travel throughout Europe, learning and growing my knowledge and skills. Projects here are historically inspired, but not always recreations. Many are designed to make participation more accessible to others.
